ATLANTA (December 6)
In keeping with its Mission Zero™ promise to eliminate any negative impact that it may have on the environment by 2020, Interface, Inc., a world leader in the commercial interiors industry, has joined ClifBar, Inc. and Stonyfield Farm, Inc. to sponsor a report by Trexler Climate + Energy Services (TC+ES) of Seattle. The report, entitled "A Consumers Guide to Retail Carbon Offset Providers", was commissioned by Clean Air-Cool Planet and released on December 5.

This first-of-its-kind report evaluated over 30 companies that currently provide retail carbon offset credits in the U.S., rating them against seven key criteria including

(i) the providers prioritization of offset quality,

(ii) their ability to transparently evaluate the offset quality,

(iii) transparency in the providers operations and offset selection,

(iv) the providers understanding of the technical aspects of offset quality,

(v) the providers policies for educating consumers about global warming and global warming policies,

(vi) the ancillary sustainability benefits of the
various offset portfolios, and

(vii) the use of third party certifications and protocols.

Interfaces sponsorship of this report helps further its Mission Zero goals of reducing greenhouse gas emissions to zero through internal carbon reductions and the purchase of carbon offsets. The sponsorship also reflects Interfaces commitment to help others do the same.
